Candidate
Profile

I’m Dan Catlin, and I’m running for Mayor of Toquerville because I care deeply about our city and the people who call it home. Toquerville is going through changes that will bring both opportunities and challenges. With a career in law enforcement, experience in large-scale planning, and a deep respect for our community’s heritage, I am ready to help guide Toquerville’s growth with sensitivity and foresight.

My wife and I were both born and raised in Utah and have been married for 44 years. We have two children and four grandchildren, and I am fortunate that our daughter and three of our grandchildren live right here in Toquerville. We moved here from northern Utah in 2016, drawn by the beauty of this valley and the close-knit spirit of the community.

I stay active in both local and state organizations, including the Utah Peace Officers Association, Utah Retired Troopers Association, Mormon Battalion Association, and the Hurricane Valley Sons of Utah Pioneers.

My priorities are clear:

fiscal responsibility, accountability, transparency, and well managed growth

that benefits today’s residents while preparing for the future.

I am ready to lead with experience, dedication, and integrity.

Join me in shaping policies, not just watching them unfold.

 ELECT

DAN CATLIN

 FOR MAYOR OF TOQUERVILLE

Over the course of my career in both law enforcement and the private sector, I worked closely with federal, state, local, and international government agencies. I directed security planning and deployment for multiple Olympic events and U.S. military installations, managing budgets from multimillion-dollar operations to lean, every-dollar-counts situations, always with careful stewardship.

I often say that government should be predictable. Citizens should never be caught off guard by decisions that affect their lives. Once policies are in place, they should be honored so residents and businesses can plan with confidence. And when changes are needed, they should be guided by the General Plan and informed by open dialogue and community input.
